There are many ways to get involved with the Go Big Read program. As part of the selection process, the entire community is invited to nominate books. Course instructors interested in integrating the book into their class can receive a review copy and coupons for their students to get copies of the book. The program also supports those affiliated with UW-Madison wishing to organize book discussion groups. Members of the wider community can participate in discussion groups hosted by the Madison Public Library. For more information about any of these opportunities, explore the links to the right.

If you are looking for a more-accessible format of Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body by Rebekah Taussig, there are a few options for obtaining audiobook and e-book copies of the 2024-2025 Go Big Read.
There are audiobook and e-book editions of the Sitting Pretty available through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries and Madison Public Libraries, as well as through libraries that serve communities with disabilities in Wisconsin and the US.
If you are a UW-Madison student looking for an alternative format copy, please contact the McBurney Disability Center. If you are UW-Madison faculty, staff, or another party who is not serviced by the McBurney Disability Center, please email Todd Michelson-Ambelang with your request at accommodation-request@library.wisc.edu. Please remember not to share your disability or medical information in your message. We are able to share individual e-book and audiobook copies of the Go Big Read on a case-by-case basis for those with accommodation needs. If you have any questions, feel free to email gobigread@library.wisc.edu or bwillig@wisc.edu.
