2016-2017 Go Big Read: Evicted by Matthew Desmond

Sociologist Matthew Desmond tells the stories of eight families in Milwaukee struggling to find housing in an effort to explain the causes and effects of eviction in American cities. Using survey data, court records, and ethnographic observations, Desmond shows how essential affordable, safe, stable housing is in order for people, neighborhoods, and cities to flourish.
