  • There are audiobook and e-book editions of the Go Big Read available through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries and Madison Public Libraries, as well as through libraries that serve communities with disabilities in Wisconsin and the United States.
  • If you are a UW-Madison student looking for an alternative format copy, please contact the McBurney Disability Center.

We are able to share individual e-book and audiobook copies of the Go Big Read on a case-by-case basis for those with accommodation needs.

You can nominate a book for the Go Big Read program via the Suggest a Book Form. Please note depending on the timing of your nomination, your suggestion may not be considered until the following academic year.

The Go Big Read selection process takes place from ~November through ~April each year. Books are nominated by community members, and those nominations are reviewed by the Go Big Read Book Selection Committee and the Office of the Chancellor. The committee and Office of the Chancellor work together to evaluate the books, and ultimately, the Chancellor makes the final selection.

If you have questions about the selection process, please email gobigread@library.wisc.edu or bwillig@wisc.edu.
